UPDATE JULY 2010
Following the immense interest shown in The Haunted Capri "ARK 666Y" by the media and public I have decided to continue updating this site from where I left off in 2005. One of the main reasons I stopped the diary of events was because the weird happenings were becoming more and more worrying but after talking to paranormal researches they assure me that this is such an important case that I should record everything that occurs around the car and the registration number "ARK 666Y". They told me to report absolutely anything strange or out of the ordinary hence some of the things I write about might seem trivial but when taken in context of the whole story a worrying picture emerges.
As I have previously said, on the "History 1999 to 2005" page, I was becoming increasingly more concerned about the weird unexplained activities surrounding The Haunted Capri "ARK 666Y" during 2005 so I decided to garage the car and not use it everyday but many strange occurrences still happened at my house, including doors still opening on their own, items falling off shelves when nobody in the room and more sightings of strange figures.
Also I kept experiencing on a regular basis, and still do, that after returning home from being out various objects had been moved and drawers etc had been opened. Here are a few examples:-
This first one was an isolated occurrence back on 15/03/2001 and I thought at the time that there had been an intruder ...... I returned home to find settee cushions moved, toolbox padlock opened, a watch in the bedroom had been removed from the presentation box and records in the lounge had been moved.
03/07/05 - Drawers open throughout the property and items on shelves rearranged.
23/01/07 - Drawers open throughout the property and briefcase open.
19/03/07 - Drawers open in bedroom, clothing in airing cupboard disturbed, kitchen cupboards disturbed, filing cabinet opened and folders disturbed.
22/06/07 - again a combination of the above had occurred.
And before anyone says "obviously another
person has the key and enters the property while I am out" ...... Three times I
have changed the locks in the last six years just in case someone had managed to
get a set of keys. All windows are double locked when I go out. I have a burglar
alarm that has not activated once when these things occur. I even had my
neighbours watch the property on several occasions whilst I was out for a few
hours and they are adamant that nobody entered the premises yet items were moved
inside.
On 12/01/07 at 2.40am during the night I
awoke and heard footsteps outside then at 3.30am the doorbell rang and I looked
out the window but nobody was insight. Ok this could have been a case of some
person having a joke but in view of the very strange happenings since Jan 2007 I
thought I would add it in here.
The following
is one of the scariest occurrences to date to happen to me personally:-
On Sunday
30/11/08 at 7.10am I was awake and lying in bed when I heard my front door being
pushed, the door was a poor fit and as such it could be pushed against and it
would move approximately a quarter of an inch before hitting the locks and this
was a very distinct noise which I became use to if it was windy or if indeed
somebody leant or pushed the door. I hasten to add that because of the poor
fitment I now have a new door and frame fitted. Anyway, I heard the noise and
immediately recognised it as the front door being pushed, the next thing I hear
are very, very heavy footsteps coming up the stairs, at this point I remember
being extremely scared and worried but at the same time I remember also thinking
to myself how on earth did someone manage to get the front door open without me
hearing the door chain and with four separate locks and bolts all in position.
Before I could take any action I realised the footsteps had doubled if not
trebled in speed and they progressed into the bedroom where I was laying in bed
very frightened. It is extremely difficult to explain just how weird this all
seemed at the time as there was absolutely no one in sight just the sound of
very very heavy footsteps that I easily followed (through the sound) to the
bottom of my bed where they stopped. All went very quiet and as I have said
there was no one in sight. At this point through what I can only explain as
sheer fright and nervousness I jumped up and standing on the bed naked commenced
to shout at the area where I last heard the footsteps "What the xxxx do you
want?" Yes, I admit, I swore at whatever had entered my property and like a
complete
idiot was asking "it" a question whilst standing naked on the bed. I know this
particular incident sounds very weird but it happened and I will gladly under go
any tests including lie detector tests to verify.
On 31/12/08
during the afternoon I was working at my desk in the front room when I looked up
and over by the window was exactly the same male figure that I saw on 14/01/04
in that location and just as before it disappeared.
On 17/03/09 at 10.30am I was working at my
desk again in the front room when to the right of me I caught a glimpse of
something like a figure moving left to right and straight into my filing
cabinet. By the time I looked up the figure was gone but the curtain tie which
hangs below the curtain in that exact area was swinging quite considerably and
there were no draughts at all in that room.
The following
is another scary occurrence that quite shook me up and resembles the same sort
of peculiarity that occurred on 30/11/08:-
On 16/09/09 at 5am I was woken by the sound
of extremely heavy footsteps walking round my bed from left to right and then
the footsteps stopping right beside my pillows. There was nobody in sight but I
felt very uncomfortable and sensed I was not alone, it was a very strange and
hard to put into words feeling. Suddenly there was the sound of what I can only
explain as someone quite heavy jumping up and down on the spot right next to the
bed, and I also sensed that they were leaning over me, immediately the mattress
actually started moving violently. Then there was complete peace and quiet,
apart from my heart beating the fastest I think I have ever heard it plus I was
absolutely swimming in a sweat where I had been so frightened. Again I will
undertake any lie detector test whatsoever as I know this to be the exact truth
of what occurred. I contacted a paranormal expert regarding these bedroom cases
and I was told that believe it or not they are not that uncommon and quite a few
people experience this sort of occurrence. But many people will not mention it for fear of
ridicule.
On 16/02/10 Louise, a good friend of mine,
accompanied me to the lock up garage where I park

as I wanted to check the car was all ok as it was being collected the
following week to be worked on by my mechanic. As I walked round the back of the
car Louise decided to sit in the driver's seat and then I removed some bits and
pieces from the rear hatch and took them out of the garage to put in the car
that we had arrived in. Suddenly I turned to see a very flustered Louise
hurrying out the garage and making towards me. I asked her what the problem was
and she explained that whilst sitting in the car she sensed movement behind her
and then heard a sigh coming from the direction of the rear seats. She was quite
agitated and when I went to check there was no one in the garage or car.
During
February 2010 I was interviewed by the British Paranormal Association for a
feature in their online magazine. Two days after our meeting the Association
contacted me again saying that a few hours after our interview their website had major problems, so much so, that
they had to completely design a new website and their web admin have never found
out the cause of the massive database destruction that occurred.
On 27/04/10 my mechanic was working on

freeing the front brakes off by gently
knocking the brake discs with a mallet. He over did it and cracked a brake disc
and after ordering a replacement he decided to move the car out of his workshop
until the new disc was delivered by the motor factors. He fitted the front wheel
and proceeded to sit in the car to drive it out the workshop when as he sat down
a metal spike which was part of the springs in the front seat came right through
the canvas seat and stabbed him in the upper thigh. In all the years I have
owned the car neither I nor anyone else has been injured by any metal spring
poking out of the seat. How weird that he gets stabbed in the thigh just after
cracking a brake disc on the car.

On 06/05/10 I was relaxing in the garden and
I decided to take a few photos of where I live. Nothing unusual with that but
when I viewed them later on my computer I noticed that in one photo there is a figure in
a white hooded cloak that has a dark coloured band around the hood and across
the chest standing
looking out of my lounge window and it is exactly the same place where twice in
the past I have seen a figure which disappeared. I have uploaded the photo but
obviously please remember the bigger your screen size the better you will
recognise the figure. I have since shown the original photo to Richard Felix,
the TV paranormal historian, who immediately made out the strange figure and was
very intrigued.
On 14/05/10 at 00.45am I had just got into bed when a bright light, resembling an old lantern, went across the hall landing right outside my bedroom door and approximately four feet from the floor. It took about eight seconds to cover the six foot distance so I had plenty of time to get over the initial fright and study it well. I was fully awake, had not had any alcohol and watched it closely until it just disappeared. On all these occasions of viewing figures and weird lights there is always a sort of calm peaceful feeling in the house apart from the two occurrences I mentioned earlier with the very loud footsteps where I felt a sense of unrest and eagerness to scare me.
On 16/05/10 I was talking outside with a
neighbour
and she told me that her young son absolutely loves anything to do with cars. So
I gave her a

fridge magnet calendar for her son thinking he will enjoy looking at it. I had
the fridge magnets made by a company from the Internet as fun gifts for friends
that remark about the Capri. They are simply a 2010 calendar with a photo of the
Capri at the top mounted on a magnet so they stay on metal surfaces. Imagine my
surprise when a few days later around 9 o'clock in the morning I hear my
letterbox open and shut and my neighbour's voice saying "I hope you do not mind
but I am returning the calendar as we do not want it near our house". On going
to the front door I find the calendar on my carpet and later in the day when I
see my neighbour I find out that in the few days they had the calendar one of
their cars suffered a blown headgasket almost immediately and has since been
sold as it had done more damage than first thought hence uneconomical to repair,
another car suffered an electrical fault and their third car refused to start.
Coincidences again but what weird timing just as I had given the calendar to
them!!
On 24/06/10 I went to a local cafe for
breakfast with some friends. Later in the day Richard Felix, the well known
television paranormal historian, was coming to Eastbourne with a
production crew to film

666Y".
Whilst in the cafe which was fairly crowded another good friend came in and had
got to hear about the forthcoming filming and asked some questions regarding the
Capri and
"ARK
666Y".
I started to explain what was going to happen later in the day and that Richard
Felix and his crew should take care as sometimes strange accidents or breakdowns
occur to people who come to film or write about the Capri. Just as I said that
sentence there was an almighty bang and the sound of air escaping quickly.
Everyone in the cafe looked around to see what had happened and two of the staff
actually came out from the kitchen to the front of the premises. Then we realised
that just as I had remarked that Richard Felix and his crew should take care the
front tyre of a large van which was right outside the cafe had exploded. The
poor workman sitting in the sun outside next to the van was a little surprised
and shaken up and no fewer than ten people in the cafe witnessed this remarkable
coincidence of the tyre exploding as I spoke about the Capri. Later in the day
at the filming location, which was an industrial site, Richard Felix was
approached by the owners of two business premises who both said that since

had arrived there the day before
various cars in the vicinity that belonged to their employees and customers would not start. These people were filmed as
yet more evidence of the amazing coincidences that occur around the Capri and
registration number. Plus during the day the main person whose idea it was for
Richard Felix to be involved in filming

"ARK
666Y"
had two unwanted telephone calls,
the first to tell him a relative had just had a car drive into her car and
completely wreck it and the second was another relative whose car clutch had
just exploded whilst he was driving along.
Again I wonder to myself are all these
things connected in a supernatural way or just coincidences? There seem to be an
awful lot of coincidences surrounding
The Haunted Capri
"ARK
666Y"
and a lot of the people that come into
contact with it!!
Since June 2001 the following have also
occurred (I have omitted names to protect privacy):-
One of my mechanics who worked on
The Haunted Capri
"ARK
666Y" split permanently from his wife.
My friend who saw the ghostly figure in the car parted from her partner.
Another mechanic who worked on
The Haunted Capri
"ARK
666Y" parted from his long
time partner.
Another person involved with the story divorced her husband after twenty-five
years of happy marriage.
A very good friend who is heavily involved in the transportation of the Capri
divorced his wife after twelve years of happy marriage.
The high percentage of relationships failing
between people associated with the car is very interesting, as many people who
have studied the "ARK 666Y" story have made a comparison between it
and Alistair Crowley, a black magician who during his childhood was given the
title “The Beast” by his Mother because of his very terrible ways. Crowley
actually liked the name and to annoy his Mother even more at the age of thirteen
he slept with the family maid in his Mother’s bed. Throughout his whole life
he bedded any woman he could and indeed forced himself on some. It is known that
at least two women committed suicide because of the actions of Crowley against
them. He treated women as objects that could be cast aside at will and then just
as easily used by him as he pleased. Little wonder the title “The Beast”
with “666” closely associated with it as the Devil sign stayed with him all
his life. Crowley had his own followers in a commune he founded and as leader of
the group he used his position to sleep with any female follower he wished. His
views on women were not very high and his actions caused much distress and
broken relationships followed. One expert is of the opinion that the car could
be possessed by one of the women followers, which would explain the perfume
smell and the figure that has been seen in the car. Another is of the opinion
that Crowley himself could be possessing the car.
Since

website I have received countless emails informing me of numerous weird things
that have happened to people after visiting the site. Ranging from very serious
car crashes occurring to people only hours after logging off from the website,
computers seizing, computers crashing, serious fires straight after logging off,
sudden illness occurring within hours of viewing to alarms sounding at 3am for
no reason the next morning.
Can it all be coincidence!!
On a more light hearted note since purchasing the car I have had some strange
requests from people: -
I was contacted by a religious commune in America who wanted to purchase the car
and put their recently departed leader in the rear seat and bury both in a large
pit during a lavish ceremony!
I have been approached on several occasions by couples that wish to hire the car
for a night of passion to “conceive the Devil’s child”!! Goodness knows
what would occur if the resident ghost showed at the very moment of conception!!
